    Description

      Issue Summary

The Version filter for Kanban backlog board is behaving strangely, duplicating the entries for issues without version as shown in the below screenshot.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Have a Kanban board created
      2. Have a complex JQL written for the board filter. I have used the below
project in (XYZ, ABC, FGH) OR reporter is not empty

      3. Have quick filters created for this board that simply filter by project. E.g. project = XYZ, project = ABC
      4. Have a large amount (500+) of unreleased versions in the projects listed in the first portion of the JQL (XYZ, ABC, FGH) and also in other projects that are returned by the filter JQL (any project in your instance).
      5. Have a large amount (1k+) of issues that are going to be returned in the filter JQL in the projects listed in the first portion of the JQL (XYZ, ABC, FGH) and also in other projects that are returned by the filter JQL (any project in your instance).
      6. Have the Kanban backlog enabled by going to the board columns and assigning the status Backlog to the column Kanban backlog.
      7. Now, go to the Kanban backlog and expand Versions, there should be only one option "Issues without version".
      8. Enable one of the quick filters that filter by a single project.
      9. Click again in the Version.

      Expected Results

"Issues without version" is a single option in the dropdown.

      Actual Results

"Issues without version" is listed as multiple options.

      Workaround

This bug only happens with complex filters and in Kanban boards. So, the workaround would be to change one of these conditions for this problem to not be reproducible anymore. I advise simplifying the JQL for the filter.
