Summary
Jira maintains the Epic link value of moved issues/type updated issues even when it is not in accordance with the hierarchy settings.
Expected Results
The Epic Link field should be cleared when moving a standard issues type with an Epic as the parent to any type above the hierarchy
Actual Results
Jira keeps the epic parent even though it is not in accordance with the hierarchy settings.
Steps to replicate
- Add an issue type above the epic level in the hierarchy settings
- Move a standard issue type with an epic link to the type above the Epic
Workaround
A4J can clear the field when moving issues.
