      Issue Summary

Using a quick filter for the assignee in a Kanban board and then opening an issue and changing the assignee can lead to an infinite loop opening the issue view dialog

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Go to a Kanban Board
      2. Select any of the quick filters to only show the issues of a specific assignee.
      3. Open any of the issues still displayed in the board to open the issue view dialog.
      4. Change the assignee to unassigned (or any other user).
      5. Wait for a few seconds until you see the board update cycle occurs (you will see a quick URL showing in the lower left corner usually). This usually occurs pretty fast but sometimes it can take up to 20 seconds.
      6. Once the board update cycle occurs, close the issue view dialog.

      Expected Results

We return to the board view as usual.

      Actual Results

The page refreshes and the issue view dialog opens again, and this occurs every time the dialog is closed once again, getting stuck in a loop.

This is demonstrated in this video. In the second 35 you can see the board refresh occur on the lower left corner:

      Notes:

      • This appears to only occur in Kanban boards.
      • Sometimes the loop does stop after multiple times of closing the dialog.

      Workaround

      • Go to another feature in Jira and then come back to the board
      • Remove the URL part in the web browser URL starting from the "?" and hit enter to break the loop.
      • Continue hitting the close button, as this sometimes does break the loop.
