Description
Issue Summary
When auto-scheduling issues that have child issues, Auto Scheduler causes incoherent results. Parents seem to be considering child sprints during auto-scheduling, but not in an expected way.
Steps to Reproduce
- Add two Parents to the plan with the same estimates
- Associate child issues with estimates to the parents
- Add fix dates to the child issues
- Autoshedulle the parent
- Add a sprint to the child issues
Expected Results
When using the Auto-schedule, the scheduler is expected to consider the child issues estimation but it doesn't (the parent does not update to start when the child starts).
However, when adding a Sprint value to the child, it seems like the auto-scheduler honors the defacto dependency between parents and children even though the children are not selected to be scheduled (I.e. the parent cannot be completed until the children are done).
Actual Results
The parent does not update to start when the child starts. It seems to be caused by parents having children assigned to sprints.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
