Issue Summary
You have the option of setting the Search Template of custom fields to None. That will prevent them from being searchable (you can only order by them in that case), as displayed in the error message in the issue search navigator:
On the other hand, that will affect the Plan view. Custom fields will be displayed as empty without any warning or error message indicating the reason behind it:
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a custom field
- Add a value for that custom field in an issue
- Set the Search Template of that custom field to None
- Add that field to the plan view (make sure there are issues in that plan that do have a value in that field)
Expected Results
Either the values will be displayed, or a warning/error message will be displayed stating that the field has no search template.
Actual Results
The field is displayed with no values without any kind of warning/error message.
Workaround
In case you have custom fields that are displayed as empty in the roadmap, check their search template.
