Automated Ranking of tickets

    Description

      Through manually assessing each Jira ticket manually we utilise completed the fields to determine 2 ratings of value (difficulty / pay-off - PICK) to provide an automated ranking our tasks in excel.

      This requires fileds that provide:

      • due date
      • risk
      • impact
      • criticality
      • job size

      We manually triage each ticket to determine which tasks we need to do in a rough order (we currently have over 800 open tickets to manage)

      We would like to add a context matrix in Jira that is either a fixed or customisable solution that uses fields populated at ticket creation to assign a ranking value based on characteristics of the request. This way we will have an option to fully automate ranking our tasks as part of an automated Initial Assessment process.

      This may also mean adding in additional context filters at ticket creation to capture more deliberate metrics.
