Issue Summary

When an automation rule includes actions for the parent issue key, (normally relates to subtasks) then the automation fails because the parent key is not retrieved by the automation.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create an automation rule with the For Parent branch like the below example.

Expected Results

No error found, and the automation rule runs successfully.

Actual Results

In Audit Log, some errors are thrown:

Error searching for related issues. This is most likely because the following issues don't have a related issue of the type you specified. Try narrowing your search to only include issues that contain links to related issues:

IssueKey-xxxx: "(key =) AND (project in (xxxx))" - Error in JQL Query: Expecting either a value, list or function but got ')'. You must surround ')' in quotation marks to use it as a value. (line 1, character 7)

Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
