Next-gen workflow returns unexpected error/500 internal server error when workflow status has unicode character(emoji character)

Issue Summary

Nextgen workflow status cannot be edited/deleted if the status has Unicode character(s)(emoji character)

Expected Results

The nextgen workflow should be edited/deleted without any error

Actual Results

Saving the modified workflow returns "500 Internal Server error."/ "unexpected error"/"We couldn't save your changes"
