Description
Issue Summary
Linking Confluence pages directly on our issues is an amazing feature that we can use for documentation subjects, or even link some articles that were used to assist on that determined reason - it is a feature with many different business cases!
When we try to link a Confluence page that is actually the overview of a space, though, this doesn't work as expected.
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to any of your issues on JIRA;
- Click on the + button to add a Confluence page;
- Either search or enter the link of an overview page, like https://SITENAME.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SPACEKEY/overview
- Press enter and then click on Link.
Expected Results
The page is linked, as expected.
Actual Results
JIRA throws an error with this statement:
"We're having trouble. Check your connection and try again."
The below exception is thrown in the xxxxxxx.log file:
Notes:
- After hitting on Link, the browser receives a request with 400 status on this endpoint:
https://SITENAME.atlassian.net/rest/confluenceIssueLink/1/confluence?issueId=10045&pageUrl=https://SITENAME.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SPACEKEY/overview - Perhaps JIRA is set to expect wiki/spaces/SPACEKEY/pages/CONTENTID instead of /wiki/spaces/SPACEKEY/overview and that is causing the issue
- It only happens for
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
