Github integration does not work when IP allowlist is enabled on github.com

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

If an IP allowlist is used on github.com, the integration to Jira Cloud does not work anymore, as the IP space that needs to be whitelisted it too large

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Integrate Jira Cloud and github.com
      2. Add an IP allowlist on github.com (this may only work with a certain subscription level)

      Expected Results

      The integration should still work

      Actual Results

The IP space required by Jira is too large. According to GH support:

adding that list to the allow list will not work. Due to the way the JIRA integration interacts in the backend, it is currently not compatible with IP allow lists. We suggest not using IP allow lists when using the JIRA integration.

      Workaround

The only possible workaround (technically) is to remove the allow list on github. But it defies the purpose.
