As a team we want to be aware if we overwrite changes by a different user when editing a ticket

XMLWordPrintable

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. User A opens a ticket and starts editing the description, saves the changes.
      2. User B also enters the ticket description and start editing it. He/she leaves the description field but without saving the changes.
      3. User A goes in the ticket again and starts editing his/her description. Then saves the changes

Observed result: the changes of User B are overwritten.

Of course, you find the changes in the history. But transferring this into the description is very time consuming and annoying. It would be really great to have a better process to prevent this overwriting process (e.g. not being able to leave the field without saving/not saving or informing the users that a different user also edits the description at the moment).
