When adding an image to a description, I want to be able to resize the image that appears there

      Problem Definition

Adding image attachments to the description field in a next-gen project always has the image appear to the full width of the screen. There is no way to adjust the size of that image as it appears in the description. This is possible to do in classic projects, either with the thumbnail or other img tags (width, height, etc).

      Suggested Solution

Implement some way to let end users that can edit the description the ability to resize in-line image attachments that appear there.

      Why this is important

Not all images are created equally. Some of these are very large, or mis-porportioned in a way that makes them appear undesirably large on the page. In the current setup, all images are treated exactly the same

      Workaround

None currently possible within next-gen projects

We have just migrated from server Jira to cloud Jira and we have lost all control over the image size in descriptions and comments. The images appear as thumbnails which are too small to be legible. Sometimes we want the image to be visible without additional click-throughs.

Please increase the urgency. It's so much worse that app screenshots are portrait & fill up pretty much the whole screen..

We would like to request some urgency in adding this feature to next-gen. It is really difficult to get users to adopt the new project styles when features like this are missing.

Hello! This is still a huge problem for the next-gen Cloud Jira. Will this problem be dealt with any time soon?
