      As an Atlassian Community member

I want the community board to clearly indicate posters who are employees of Marketplace vendors

So I am better informed about the answers and advice provided

      Acceptance criteria

      • Community members are required to self-identify when they are employed by a marketplace vendor in their profile
      • An icon and label are displayed next to all postings by community members to indicate when they are employed by a marketplace vendor

[JSWCLOUD-18508] Add Marketplace indicator to community postings

This feature was eventually implemented after a different product manager, who understood the concerns raised, took action rather than responding with boilerplate answers.

            Hi.

I find it very disappointing this will not be done.

A casual walk through recent community posts show several overly aggressive vendors who paste boilerplate answers, sometimes tangentially answering a requestor's question, and quite cryptically indicating association to the vendor, often with a single pronoun in paragraphs of sales pitch.  Making a highly visible vendor indicator, or better still, allowing the filtering of content from vendors, would surely improve the quality of actual answers to questions asked.

            Kind regards,
            Bill
