Ability to view subtasks on the Board in team-managed projects (without using grouping)

      We use this data as well as many other inputs to feed into our prioritisation process. Being able to show subtasks as cards on the Board view without using grouping will be something that will be available in Team-managed Projects, although it is not something that we will be focusing on in the next year. We want to share this with you to ensure you can plan out your use of projects within Jira Software effectively.

      In the short-term, we recommend teams use Company-Managed Projects if this is an absolute must for you. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause you.

      Please continue to vote and in particular please continue to add comments on how your team would find value when having subtasks as cards on the Board view without using grouping.       Problem Definition

      Currently, next-gen boards can't show sub-task issue types in the same manner it can other issue types, like bug, tasks, etc. It makes it very difficult to understand the body of work that might exist within the board and the statuses of each sub-task. While next-gen now has the "Group By" function which can show sub-tasks, it only can show those sub-tasks when grouping the entire board in that manner. That is not desirable in all situations because you then can't group by other things like assignee or Epic.

      Suggested Solution

      It would be great if next-gen boards would allow you to view sub-tasks like it can any other issue type.

      Why this is important

      It would help to give end users better visibility into the all the issue types, not just standard issue types.
