Currently, it is not possible to link existing stories to Epics in Next-Gen projects from the issue view, you can only do that from the Board View or Backlog View
As a Jira Software user, I want to be able to add existing stories to epics in Next-Gen (Agility) projects similarly to Scrum and Kanban (classic) projects
