    Description

Very often when performing a major action in JIRA you're redirected back to the Issue Navigator, losing the Project you were on at the moment of the execution.

      Original request
There are a number of cases in which I'm working on a specific project in JIRA, but JIRA loses that project context because of some actions.

For instance when I want to release a software version after a Sprint I do the following:

      Active sprints
      Complete sprint
Within Sprint Report -> View in Issue Navigator (now my project context is gone)
Then I bulk change the issues and set them to the new release version

Then I want to continue working in the project, but the project context is gone. I need to do the following to get back to the project:

Hit back within issues and filters
      Select projects
      Select my project again

Obviously this should not be necessary and I should be able to continue working on the project without these 3 steps. I think I also encountered some other cases that made me lose my project context, but I can't recall them now.

Apart from this issue the release version procedure is very cumbersome and I know that somewhere in the past I could just "Release" the sprint as a version, which did not require the manual bulk update action.
