      Summary

Ordering by Votes does not work on a Software Kanban Board

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a new project with a Software Kanban board
      2. Go to board settings. Change the filter from 'Project = [ProjectName] ORDER BY RANK' to 'Project = [ProjectName] ORDER BY Votes DESC'. This will turn off 'Ranking' on the Kanban board.
      3. Make sure that the 'Backlog' is the first column on the Kanban board and not the separate backlog view.
      4. Create at least two new stories
      5. The stories will be ordered by date created or something. Remember the order before voting.
      6. Ask some colleagues to vote for both stories but make sure one story has more votes than the other. Make sure the story appearing lowest on the Kanban board gets more votes
      7. Refresh the kanban board.

      Expected Results

      Stories being sorted by votes.

      Actual Results

No change. Vote ordering not working.

      Notes

      Workaround

      • Make the 'Backlog' the separate kanban backlog, so not on the Kanban board itself.
      • The Backlog list view adheres to vote ordering
