Summary
Jira Labs new Issue detail view popup feature does not honor the field layout defined for that board
Environment
Jira Software Cloud instances, where the user profile has enabled the Jira Labs feature: Issue Detail view. This causes the issue details to appear as a popup window instead of on the right side of the window.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a sample Scrum board in Jira Cloud
- Add a custom field to this board: Board -> Configure Board -> Issue detail view, add custom field
Expected Results
This new custom field should appear on the issue details view
Actual Results
The field does not appear on this new view.
Notes
Disabling the Jira Labs feature will allow that field to appear correctly. It appears that this new labs feature does not take into consideration all the fields that are set to be displayed here.
Workaround
Disable the Labs feature. This can be done either by going to your user profile, clicking on your avatar in the top right of the screen and selecting Profile, then flipping the switch for this Jira labs feature OR you can click the leave feedback button that appears on this issue details view to both leave a comment about this feature and disable this feature that way.
