"Days in Column" dots explanation in our documentation

      Hey everyone. I posted the following for a user on my findings about these dots:

      And I updated this KB: https://confluence.atlassian.com/agile/jira-agile-user-s-guide/configuring-a-board/configuring-columns

      However, this is the one for Cloud: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/configuring-columns-764477997.html
      But it doesn't even mention the "Days in Column" option. But my findings were all on Cloud.

      How can this be added to the Cloud doc as it doesn't even mention this feature? Do I edit it or do you?

            Hi jjardim. No worries, I'm happy we're on the same page now.

            So, just to summarize:

            • We have content about the Days in column dots, and it's in Customizing cards. We have it in that page because in JIRA Software, you enable the Days in column dots in the Card layout tab of Board settings.
            • As far as I know, the new dots behavior is available only in Cloud. So, I've reverted your changes in Configuring columns in the AGILE space.
            • Two things to note:
              • The AGILE space is actually documentation for the latest Server version of the add-on JIRA Agile. Being Server, that's why I reverted the changes you made.
              • With the release of JIRA 7.0 back in 2015, we've merged JIRA + JIRA Agile into JIRA Software. You can read more about the Cloud and Server changes respectively. But in effect, we don't update the AGILE documentation for new features and enhancements anymore. Correspondingly, we'd update the JIRA Software Cloud and Server (latest) documentation for new features and enhancements.
