Opening issue from Kanban board is broken

I just want open an issue from the Kanban board i.e. view it at its own URL. This used to be possible, with CMD+click on the issue.

Now clicking an issue on the Kanban board just opens the tiny, shitty side bar view of the issue which is too small to allow edit / update of the issue.

In the past I always avoided using this shitty little view by opening the issue in its own page, BUT the recent update to Kanban board now prevents this.

Nobody wants to view and edit an issue in a tiny, shitty pane like this.

Don't prevent users from opening the task in its own page! Issues have their own URLs for a reason! .. e.g. so we can link to them / edit / leave comments / upload attachments

this is terrible UX design.
