Today, even in JIRA Software 7.3, if user marks an Epic to be Done, using Mark as Done option from a scrum board, the Epic Status will be updated to Done, but this has NO relationship in whatsoever format with the Status of that Epic.

I know that in some case, some may want them separated, but looking into an overall concept, it's really somehow counter intuitive to a user that an Epic is marked as Done continues to have some not-done Status, like In-Progress to To-Do. 

And currently, JIRA doesn't have any trivial way to map them together, say if Epic Status is mark Done, I want to move the Status to Closed, for ex.

Is there any better way to do it without going to some more plug-in?
