Hierarchy view for Epics and User Stories

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

For Agile planning, the existing "Backlog" view in a JIRA Scrum board is extremely limited and almost useless for real planning (though it is just barely better than nothing).

We need a hierarchical view of Epics and Stories in one page so that we can

      • manage both epics and stories
      • be able to actually read the Epics (current left hand column is way to small and not even an expandable panel),
      • easily see the hierarchy,
      • easily be able to select fields to show on that list,
      • have editable inline fields on the view,
      • drag and drop prioritization
      • ability to move stories between epics,
      • etc. (hint: see VersionOne, Rally, TFS, Thoughtworks, etc, etc, etc, etc).

There is a reference to hierarchy in the community questions but there is no response from Atlassian. Its very old and this is clearly a huge miss in my opinion.
