Resolution: Tracked Elsewhere
When Testers and Release Managers are reviewing issues on JIRA, they often make use of the "Development" information provided by the DVCS connector to BitBucket to assess where in the life-cycle a particular issue is.
Having the ability to see, at a glance, which Branch a given commit originated from, and a status of that Branch (e.g. is it still open, was it merged with dwefault since the commit, is it closed?) would greatly help them to understand the lifecycle of a commit and the state of default/mainline without having to refer to developers.
