Destination Selection When Completing a Sprint Should Default to Next Scheduled Sprint

      Problem Definition

      As of JIRA Software 7.1, when completing a Sprint, a popup will appear allowing the Admin to choose a Destination for Incomplete Issues if there are Sprints Scheduled. By Default, the Backlog is Selected; in previous versions of JIRA Software (Agile), incomplete issues were automatically moved into the Next Scheduled Sprint.

      This causes a problem and a delay in workflow as the incomplete issues are moved back into the backlog and need to be found and manually moved into the next sprint.

      Suggested Solution

      If there are Scheduled Sprints, the Destination Selection should default to the Next Scheduled Sprint rather than the Backlog

      Workaround

      Ensure the Next Scheduled Sprint is selected before Completing current Sprint
