Summary:

When running a JQL (specifying to show the Sprint column) into the issue navigator filtering for only opened sprints assuming that issue 'X' is inside an opened sprint (Sprint A) and another closed sprint (Sprint B). The column results will show both Sprint A and Sprint B.

If issue 'X' is only inside closed sprints. No results will appear.

This can be very confusing when using gadgets (e.g: Two Dimensional Filter Statistics) to fitter opened sprints, as it will show closed sprints and this is not the expected behavior.
