Allow sprint names in Bulk Change > Change Sprint

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

In JIRA v6.4.3#64018-sha1:4550402, using Bulk Change to change the sprint, one has to use the internal JIRA ID for the sprint instead of the sprint name. In most of the other fields I've worked with (e.g., JQL search) typing a field name will create a drop-down menu of options. The Change Sprint field should do this as well.

BTW, I use the JQL search to determine the Sprint ID for the Bulk Change screen; this is a really clunky work-flow.

Also it seems that if you do this to a task which was in a previous sprint, the bulk change will replace the entire field with the new sprint id rather than adding the new sprint id to the sprint field. This is EXTREMELY ANNOYING since it will cause older sprint reports to be incorrect (turns out the tasks are now untracked by the previous sprint, so it just looks like they were never in the previous sprint at all).
