Currently as mentioned in JIRA Agile 6.3.11 Release Notes :

If you have enabled Gravatars, they will continue to override all avatars including "first initial" avatars.

It would be great if the "First Inital" avatar would display with Gravatars enabled.

Hence all default Gravatar would show the "First Inital" avatar instead of the Gray default avatar. This would be easier for the user to recognized who is the assignee if the user does not upload their own avatar or use any of other Gravatars.

• See how the gray gravatar is displayed for users who do not change their default avatar.
  

• Would be great if the "First Inital" avatar is used instead but this is only available when Gravatar is disabled from the General Configuration menu.
