    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

At the moment Insight does not allow to change the ownership of a report, nor to Insight Administrator or Jira Administrator or object schema manager.

This would lead to an issue where it is not possible to browse or edit anymore reports owned by inactive/disabled Jira users, similar to what happen for Jira dashboard and filter ownership.

Please provide a way for Insight admin/Jira admin to change the ownership of Insight reports from the UI.

provide a way to change the ownership of Insight report owned by inactive users.

      Workaround:

As for now the following workaround is applicable:

      1. Re-enable the inactive user temporary
      2. Go to Insight > Reports
      3. For a better visibility, you can click on Group by > Owner so we can group all the reports from that owner
      4. For any report from that user, click on ... > Clone
      5. Save a copy of the report
      6. Delete the original report

With this approach, the cloned report will change its ownership to the user that cloned it, while also removing the old report from the user that left the company.

Correct, it doesn't work for AD SSO so a solution is really needed!

This workaround does not work when you have AD SSO

            Any workaround via db edits?

I agree, we need to have this. We inactivated a user who created the reports, and then they stopped working. But there is no way to change ownership!!

This means we need to keep the account of an employee who has left our organisation.

Please let us know the workaround. thanks.
