As a Service Desk customer, I would like JIRA Service Desk to be compatible with JIRA Data Center so that I can cluster the solution.

We are loosing a commercial opportunity of selling a Datacenter license because Jira Service Desk is not compatible. Is there any workaround?

I am also working with a company that is on Data center and is interested in Service Desk. It really does not look good that we can not offer this to them because it is not available for data center.

We are in the Same boat here with Service Desk. It is such an integral part of our operation that we cannot move forward without it however Data Center is quickly becoming a very real need with the amount of customers we are adding to the system everyday!

We have deployed JIRA Data Center in our dev environment but we cannot move forward unless we are able to use JIRA Service Desk with JIRA Data Center. This delay is putting significant pressure on my team. Because of JIRA SD's incompatibility with JIRA DC, Bloomberg BNA senior management are considering rolling out Service Now for service desk support. It would really help us to make a case for JIRA SD if we can provide our senior management with some dates on when the new SD plugin will be available. We are currently using JIRA SD v2.2.1 with JIRA v6.3.9 – Thanks, Dawit Habte, Bloomberg BNA DevOps

Also curious about the road map. Companies that take in large quantities of tickets through Service Desk need Data Center, for us we won't get Data Center until Service Desk is on it. Do you know if it's on the horizon for 2015?

Is Data Center compatibility on the short term road map?

We're currently implementing JIRA Data Center for a customer and Service Desk is probably something the business could really benefit from. You can probably imagine that it's a hard sell that Atlassian's own products don't support their own add-ons..

            Any update would be appreciated

            Cheers,
            Stefan

            Hi Reetesh,

If you choose to proceed, please know that JIRA Service Desk 2.0.2 is not compatible with JIRA Data Centre. You would be doing so at your own risk.

Please also note that JSD-906 is a duplicate of this issue and will not be re-opened.
You can also choose to create a support ticket at https://support.atlassian.com. That way we can provide you with support specific to your circumstances and with higher security. The credentials should be the same as for this site (https://jira.atlassian.com).

            Hi Matt,

We are NOT going with multiple nodes of JIRA instances now. Currently we are going with only a single JIRA node and we found that the JIRA Service Desk functionality is working fine with single node.

Do you recommend us to continue with "JIRA Service Desk version 2.0.2" for a single node while it is showing this INCOMPATIBLE message as shown in the attached screenshot?

Please suggest. This is very urgent for us.

            Thanks,
            Reetesh

            Hi Matt,

We are using "JIRA Service Desk version 2.0.2" with Data center version of JIRA 6.3.6. We have tested the plugin functionality and found that all the functionality are working fine.
Can we go with this "JIRA Service Desk version 2.0.2" with Data center version of JIRA 6.3.6 on our production release?
Will there any issue if we continue with "JIRA Service Desk version 2.0.2" while it is showing this INCOMPATIBLE message as shown in the attached screenshot?
If there will be any upgraded version is available please update it on Atlassian marketplace.

            Thanks,
            Reetesh
