      Currently JIRA Service Desk seems to only search for the text in the Summary of the request when searching for issues through the 'My Requests' page in the customer portal.

      It'd be good to improve this search to all text fields (system's - such as Environment and Description - as well as custom fields) as users won't always remember exactly what is described in the Summary.

            We have customers with hundreds of requests and not having full text search (like is standard for Jira) is a major issue.

            This should be basic functionality!

            Please make this feature available. We need this functionality to review several applications that are submitted through our portal and it's hard to do that when you can only search the summary field. Much needed!

            We are about to skip Zendesk and use Jira Servicedesk instead. To late - I find out about this issue.  I guess, that if the solutions has not been found for 5 years, then there is not much hope.

            I really don't look forward to telling my customers about this "new functionality".

            Did anyone find a useful workaround?

            When starting with JSD, a search for summary only may be sufficient, but after a while - when tickets are starting to pile up - customer needs more. You should at least be able to search the description field.

            Again an issue you'd consider 'basic functionality' requested by almost every single one of our potential Service Desk customers.

            While I'd understand not being able to search for fields hidden within a ticket, there should be no reason not be able to search for all the visible fields and especially comments.

            This would really be usefull for our clients !

            We are in an acceptation fase and this one is one of the main issues to use Service Desk : search/filtering requests is to basic

            On My requests under Charlie Service Desk, searching for titles of each request through "Search for requests" field can only be available to us.
            Therefore past case reference can sometimes be time-consuming since referring to body of each request has not been available for long.

            It could be excellent if the feature to search all text fields of a request on Service Desk (and Charlie) will soon be added on it, which also means SEN number and each produt name is searchable through "Search for requests" field.
            Then I'm sure even for Atlassian Experts, sales operations process flow will be better and faster than ever.

            You can hardly call this a customer service desk without a customer being able to search on every field or custom field he/she entered.
            It is amazing this very basic functionality is not even present yet.

            It would helpful to let customers to search to any field they had in their form, supplementary to issue key that is created automatically by JIRA.
