      Would be useful if the field Organization could be sort in a JQL search, for the customers be able to create a filter and a dashboard and other related functions.

            Though the sorting is fixed, we can not add the organization in the dashboard to get customer wise issue count. Also, it seems the search needs a JSD license, so if you are not an agent you can't look at the tickets by using an organization filter.

            This is a must; I can't get in my dashboard, issues by organizations as this is not indexed or can't be used for sorting

            Am I actually seeing that the Field 'Organizations' does not support sorting?   Consider me under the category of reporting dramas.  I am not a programmer but this would seem to be a basic.  Again, I am not a programmer, but isn't this something that I should be able to do? Jon

            This particular field has caused alot of reporting dramas. Organisation has been a very useful field in grouping and assignments. It is absurd that we are not able to have any filters for it.

            not only invoicing. Sort by Organizations should be available asap.

            I'm shocked this isn't fixed yet. Makes doing any sort of invoicing unreasonably lengthy.

            This should not be a feature request. This is a bug. All fields in the list view should be sortable. This is a basic expectation.

            As usual Atlassian is unable to fix their software,  pushing everything to new feature requests.

            I agree, this is kind of a fundamental thing, was surprised when I realized I couldn't do it. Their must be something in the back-end code that makes this difficult to do, I can't think of any other reason why this isn't supported. Adding my vote to this for sure

            Why do the most basic of features, provide the greatest challenges!

            The ability to filter, sort and report organisations should be aligned with functionality available when reporting on groups. The code structure should be very similar!

            Would this also allow the Field to be included in a Dashboard Gadget or confluence jira-chart macro? Both is currently not possible, limiting the use of the Organization field further.

            How come this isn't sortable?!?! I can't believe we have to request this... At every turn JIRA thwarts my efforts for productivity.   I'm not having a good JIRA day

            We're copying Organization into a text field, and then using that to sort. Works for now, but Organization should be able to be sorted on!

            We also want the ability to be able to create organization specific dashboards to allow customers from the varying organizations to view how the support team is performing relative to their specific issues.

            We review our helpdesk tickets by Organization. At present we have to duplicate the Organization name into a label to allow sorting in a queue. This feature would allow us to depend on a single field and avoid double handling.
