Upgrading JSM DC 11.x via OBR causes 500 Internal Server Error

      Issue Summary

      Upgrading JSM DC 11.x via OBR causes 500 Internal Server Error

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Upgrade JSM DC 11.x via OBR on top of an existing installation (ie. from 11.0 to 11.1 onwards)

      Expected Results

      Upgrade is successful

      Actual Results

      The system will display a 500 Internal Server Error

      The below exception is thrown in the atlassian-jira.log file:

      com.atlassian.cache.CacheException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: The com.atlassian.jira.config.feature.DefaultFeatureManager.featureFlagResultCache Cache is not alive (STATUS_SHUTDOWN)

      Workaround

      • Restarting the system will resolve the Cache shutdown issue

      Note:

      If you are coming from 11.x, we recommend to not install JSM DC via OBR and instead follow the full installation until you have upgraded with the fixed version
