Assets - Device42 Integration import stuck at step 1 of 6 "Reading external data for object type"

Tested in JSM 5.4.2, 5.7.0, 5.9.0

Assets - Device42 Integration plugin version 1.2.9 and 1.2.8

Steps to Reproduce

Deploy the Assets - Device42 Integration app, setup a new Object schema, setup the import using default values and using the predefined structure and import configurations.

Expected Results

The import should finish in a reasonable time.

Actual Results

The import stucks at step 1 of 6 "Reading external data for object type" even after many hours.

In the Device42 demo API URL it imports the data but after many hours of trying. The same is not happening in a bigger environment. No error message is displayed.

Tested also downloading the /api/1.0/devices/all JSON from the Device42 URL presenting the issue, the download finishes after 24.9 seconds, and importing this JSON in a JSON import takes 49 seconds, which indicates that it's not an issue with the source being slow or failing to provide data.

Workaround

No workaround is available, as importing the JSON does not have the same object mapping created by default using the Plugin.
