Adding an attachment to a comment creates a duplicate entry.

      Issue Summary

      When an attachement is added to a comment, a new window pops up providing a separate comment field and the result is a duplicate entry being added to the issue.
      This behaviour is affecting the Service Desk projects only as it's not producible in Software or Business projects.

      • Tested with Chrome Version 98.0.4758.102 and Firefox 97.0.1

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Start a comment on any Service Desk issue.
      2. Click the "Attach" icon and browse for a file.
      3. Save the attached file (Share with customer or Add to issue only)

      Expected Results

      The attached file is added to the original comment field only.

      Actual Results

      The attached file gets saved in an independent comment in addition to the original one.

      Workaround

      Workaround #1: Delete the duplicate comments.
      Workaround #2: Instead of using the "Comment" field, the "Browse" option under "Attachments" can be used and the comments inserted into the pop up window.
