Problem Definition
The automation's When condition (Edit issue assignee) only allows selecting a specific user or automatic.
Suggested Solution
Add the user who triggered the rule user to the selection
Why this is important
To simplify the process of assigning the issue to the agent who replies/update customer
Workaround
Use a combination of workflow post function and automation. Using an add comment to transition automation will transition the issue when an agent comments on the ticket while using a post function to Assign to Current User would assign the issue to the agent.
