As we are in the process of moving all projects from mantis to Jira we noticed that newly created projects (mainly imported from mantis) where immediately browseable by browsing to .../browse/ID-42, only the project portlet list on the dashboard has not yet picked them up. They appeared only after webserver restart (possibly after a long while - with one project we are not sure if the server was actually restarted or not).

Steps:

• Import a new project from mantis
• Make sure the user you are testing with has access to this project
• Look at Project portal list (the one that adds a collapsible box for each project to the list) - the new project is not available in the list
• Note that it's also not in the projects list available at "Browse Project" in the "Home, Browse Project, Find Issues, ..." line on top of each page
• Manually browse the project, e.g. by browsing to .../browse/ID (substitute ID with the project ID that you gave in import.
• restart webserver (or be patient and wait for a long time - maybe it will show up without restart, I can't tell for sure)
• browse the project list again: Voila, It's there.

(I've just imported another project and will leave the office for tonight, I'll report tomorrow if it shows up)

I've prioritized this as minor because there's an easy workaround, but I've been somewhat puzzled about where my imported project is when I first imported some projects ... and missing projects are rather a major loss of functionality... Please decide for yourself and reprioritize if you like.
