No closure date exposed through the filter interface

      There is currently no way for users to reliably search on closed issues by date through the filter interface. We are currently handicapped by the following set of problems...

      1. There is no system defined "closed date" that can be used via the filter interface
      2. The system doesn't support the definition of a hidden custom field that can be defaulted to the current date for closure
      3. Default dates always default to 01-Jan-01 if I were inclined to try to leave the closure date visible on a screen and default it for users.

      It sure would be handy to have this functionality.
