Allow one-time watchers for issues

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      We are about to use JIRA for issue & bug tracking. A lot of our bugs and issues come from a community of 15,000+ users, and I would like to be able to add a list of watchers to our system that do not require account creation. This would provide a level to escalate bugs & feature request to beyond the call tracking system that we use to handle incoming help desk emails.

      This would take the form of (at least) a one time notification when an issue or bug is resolved, to the list of external users that are interested in knowing their issue is resolved. For more detailed tracking, we would encourage them to create an account.
