In Jira Data Center, the Quick Search preview results are limited by a hardcoded threshold. Specifically:

• When more than 5 issues are returned, the "Show more" option is displayed.

• When 1 to 5 issues are returned, the "Show more" option is not displayed.

Currently, there is no supported configuration to change this threshold or to always display the "Show more" link regardless of the number of results.

User Goal:
Administrators and users would like the ability to:

1. Configure the number of results displayed in the Quick Search preview before the "Show more" link appears.

1. Optionally always display the "Show more" link to allow users to quickly jump to the Advanced Search view even for a small number of results.

Business Value:
This provides better flexibility for users who rely on Quick Search for navigation and want a consistent way to transition to the full search results page, regardless of the initial result count.
