Issue Summary

When attempting to update or set a Component Lead in Jira using the Microsoft Edge browser, the selection is not persisted on the first attempt. The user must select the same account a second time for the configuration to be successfully saved.

This behavior is not observed in Google Chrome, where the selection saves correctly on the first attempt.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Set up Jira with Large user base(example 5000 users)
2. Open Jira in Microsoft Edge.

1. Navigate to Project Settings > Components.

1. Attempt to edit a component or create a new one.

1. Search for and select a user in the Component Lead field.

1. Click Save or Update.

1. Observe that the Component Lead field remains empty or reverts to the previous value.

1. Repeat the selection of the same user and click Save again.

Expected Results

The Component Lead should be saved successfully after the first selection.

Actual Results

The first update request is sent without the ComponentLead value in the payload. The second attempt correctly includes the value, allowing the save to complete.

Workaround

• Select the desired user twice in the Component Lead field before saving.

• Use Google Chrome to manage components.
