When an application link is configured between Jira Data Center and Confluence Cloud using Application Tunnel, mentioning a Jira issue on a Confluence page automatically creates a "Mentioned In" remote link on the Jira issue pointing to that Confluence page. However, when the Jira issue reference is subsequently removed from the Confluence page, the corresponding "Mentioned In" link on the Jira issue is not removed and continues to persist.

Expected behavior: Removing a Jira issue mention from a Confluence page should automatically remove the associated "Mentioned In" remote link from the Jira issue.

Actual behavior: The "Mentioned In" link remains on the Jira issue even after the reference is deleted from the Confluence page.

Environment: Jira Data Center ↔ Confluence Cloud (connected via application link via Application tunnel)

      How to Replicate

      • Set up an application tunnel between Jira DC and Confluence Cloud.
      • Create an application link between the two applications using the tunnel.
      • On a Confluence page, mention a Jira issue and publish the page.
      • Verify that a "Mentioned In" link appears on the Jira issue referencing the Confluence page.
      • Edit the Confluence page and remove the Jira issue mention, then publish.
