Issue Summary
Currently, individual users configuring Slack personal notifications are limited to selecting only two event types:
- When issues that are assigned to me are updated
- When issues I'm watching are updated
In cases where an automation rule is triggered after an issue update, it can result in multiple notifications in rapid succession, which might come across as repetitive.
Steps to Reproduce
- Configure Slack personal notifications as User A - check both the event types
- Create an automation rule that updates a custom field whenever a new comment is added to an issue
- Create a new issue and assign it to User A
- Verify the Slack notifications
Expected Results
User can refine the criteria of the event type to avoid repeated notifications.
Actual Results
User received two notifications in quick succession: one from the assigned issue action and another from the automation that updates a custom field.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
