API problems prevent the retrieval of custom fields from release note templates

      We have a tutorial describing how to create a custom release note format:

      It uses CustomFieldManager to retrieve a custom field of an issue. Unfortunately we pass in a list of GenericValues instead of Issues, and CustomFieldManager wants Issues.
