    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      • Even in a fresh installation of Jira DC 10.x, three apps ATST, JCMA and Instance Optimiser are displayed as User installed apps. This may cause confusion for users as these are bundled with Jira installation thus should be System apps. Also user is concerned if they would have to update these apps.

      • In Jira 11, only ATST is displayed as user installed apps.

      Workaround

      • Un-install the affected apps in the universal plugin manager. This will remove them from the installed-plugins folder
      • Stop Jira
      • Navigate to $JIRA_INSTALL/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/atlassian-bundled-plugins and delete the bundled version
        • For example, Jira Cloud migration assistant in Jira 9.12 is named jira-migration-plugin-1.9.17.jar
      • Copy the latest available version of the affected app to $JIRA_INSTALL/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/atlassian-bundled-plugins
      • For example, jira-migration-plugin-1.12.45.jar
      • Start Jira
      • The affected app should show under System Apps afterwards
