Issue Summary
When two or more letter styles (such as bold, italic, etc.) are applied to special number characters (such as "CIRCLED DIGIT ONE" (①), "DIGIT ONE FULL STOP" (⒈), etc.) in wiki style text field, styles don't work as expected.
They work when applied to spacial Latin letters (such as "CIRCLED LATIN CAPITAL LETTER A" (Ⓐ)).
Steps to Reproduce
- In a Jira comment field, enter a character '①' (it might be easy to copy and paste from this page)
- Apply "Bold" style, then "Underline" style to the character, then click "Add" button
Expected Results
The bolded and underlined character '①' is displayed in the submitted comment.
Actual Results
Characters
+①+
with '①' is bolded were displayed in the submitted comment.
The result depends on the order of style application. If the order is "Underline" then "Bold", the result is
*①*
with '①' is underlined.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
