At present, there is no option for administrators to sort version values displayed on the screen while selecting the value. While the "Fix Version/s" and "Affects Version/s:" are sorted on the Create/Edit screen, and, the custom version picker does not follow the same.

Introducing a sorting option for administrators would be advantageous. One potential solution could be to integrate this feature into the context for the custom field, allowing for context-specific versions to be displayed effectively.
