When a table is copied from Confluence and pasted into a multiline text field in Jira, it’s not displaying a bullet point where it shows *

      Issue Summary

This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)

      Steps to Reproduce

Copy a table from Confluence into a multi-line text field in Jira. If a * sign is in the same line as the text, it doesn't display a bullet point where it shows *.
Since customers paste tables frequently from Confluence to Jira, it takes a lot of time to correct all *, which should be bullet points.
This also sometimes causes the table to lose its format.

It's only happening on the first bullet, the rest are formatting properly.

      Expected Results

It should display a bullet point instead of *

      Actual Results

It shows a * instead of a bullet point (please check attached PDF reproducing the issue

      Workaround

The workaround is to press enter before the *, so the phrase starting with * goes down one line and the bullet point is displayed
