Getting "Color value is invalid" error in the issue comment after removing a bullet points

      This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Setup a Jira and Confluence 8.9.5 instance.
      2. Link Jira and Confluence via Applinks.
      3. Create a Confluence page with one child page. Looks like this:
      4. Copy the "Languages" Confluence link in a clipboard.
      5. Go to a Jira issue and add a new comment.
      6. Paste the Confluence Link under Visual mode. Please ensure you see the bullet points included in the comment.
      7. Remove the bullet points by hitting a "DELETE" keyboard button and switch the comment to text mode. You will see a random color format show:
        bla bla CONFLUENCE_PAGE_WEB_URL {color:var(--ds-text, #172b4d)} bla bla{color}
        
      1. Proceed to add the comment and we see the following errors:
        color: Color value is invalid

      Expected Results

      There shouldn't be an error showing up in the issue comment.

      Actual Results

      After adding the comment, user see the following errors appended in the Jira issue comment:

      color: Color value is invalid
      

      Workaround

      • Remove bullet points using Shift+Tab instead.
