Issue Summary
Based on the Jira Software guardrails, the limit for issue links is set at 1000.
We are currently seeking a method to either avoid reaching this limit altogether or to display a warning message when it is close to being reached.
The suggested approach is to address the issue by removing existing issue links and/or archiving problematic issues, rather than solely focusing on preventing future occurrences.
We are interested in establishing a preventive measure in addition to the reactive solution provided. I am looking forward to your feedback.
Workaround
In order to mitigate the issue we can try
- Identify issues with many issue links, and remove any unnecessary links
- Archive issues that are no longer needed. Learn how to archive issues
- Also, you can run a SQL query to find the issues with most issue links or comments in the database
- duplicates
