Issue Summary
Editing the general configuration settings may automatically make changes without the Jira administrator choosing them.
It was identified the Auto-update search results value changes, but it should be confirmed if any other configuration is also changed on the same way.
Steps to Reproduce
- Install a vanilla instance of Jira.
- This was validated on 9.12 and 9.17.
- Go to Administration > System > General configuration.
- Viewing the current configuration, validate the Auto-update search results is ON.
- Click on Edit settings.
- Don't change any configuration and click on Update.
Expected Results
Since the administrator hasn't changed any configuration, there's no change.
Actual Results
Auto-update search results is now OFF.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
